Privacy Policy

This policy covers this website itself and anything you send us through it, as well as what you tell us by phone or in an email.

What information do you collect?

We collect information from three sources:

• server logs: the hosting provider’s machines keep a note of the IP address, browser, page and time of each request, for security and so the site keeps working;
• calls and emails: what you tell us and anything you attach;
• the service request form: your name, phone number, email, the job’s location (its address or ZIP code) if the form includes it, and the job details you give.

Who replies in the chat?

When you write in the chat on this website, we keep a copy of the conversation: your messages and whatever you type there, like your name, phone number, email or details of the job. Alongside it go the page you opened the chat on, the site that sent you here, your rough location, read from your internet address, the kind of device and browser you use, and a random code your browser stores so your chats on this website can be told apart. An automated assistant may answer you there, and the providers that run it process your messages to draft its replies. All of this serves answering you, helping you book the work and making the chat better.

Do you use cookies or count visits?

About cookies: none are set for advertising or for analytics. Two things can still happen in the background. The host may set a single cookie that is strictly necessary to keep the site safe, and may also record anonymous totals of how often pages are viewed, counted without cookies.

Who handles my information besides you?

Your information goes through the systems of the providers that keep the site, our email and our request system working. If a service partner helps us answer you or complete the job, that partner receives the details the job needs. In addition, information may be handed over where the law demands it, or to protect anyone’s rights or safety.

How is my information used?

We use what you send for the job at hand: replying, booking the work, doing it and following up. The same information also serves the records every business keeps, the security of this website and compliance with legal obligations.

How do you protect my details?

We take reasonable precautions with the information we hold. We cannot guarantee that it will always be safe, because every system carries some risk.

When is my information deleted?

How long we keep something depends on why we have it. Details tied to a request or a job stay while that request or job needs them, and for as long as our records and the law require. After that they are deleted.

Can I see or delete my information?

You are entitled to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected and to have it deleted. Contact us by email at frank.h@polariselectricians.com or by phone at (614) 963-3246 to make a request. Before acting, we may need to make sure that you are the person asking, and using any of these rights will not affect how we deal with you.

Opting out of sale or sharing

What does opting out mean?

California law, and the law of a number of other states, lets residents say no, by opting out, to the sale or sharing of their personal information. Every state applies its own meaning for those two words.

How do I opt out?

Send an email to frank.h@polariselectricians.com with the subject “Opt-out request” or call (614) 963-3246 and ask for the same thing. Include your name and the phone number or email address you used with us, so that we can locate your records. No account is needed and it is free.

How quickly do you act?

Expect a confirmation from us, and the request will be honored within the time allowed by law. We keep our questions to the minimum that finding your records takes.

Can someone else ask for me?

An authorized agent may submit the request on your behalf, as long as they have your signed permission.

What about Global Privacy Control?

Global Privacy Control works too: where the law requires it, any browser sending the signal is treated as having asked to opt out.

Does opting out cost me?

We will not charge you more or serve you any differently because you opted out.

Do you collect information from children?

Children under 13 are not who polariselectricians.com is directed to, and we do not knowingly gather their information.

What if this policy changes?

If we change anything here, the new text replaces this one and shows a new date at the top of the page.
